# Trending Now: Watercolor Walls

It’s time again to share another wonderful design trend. This one features beautiful statement walls painted or papered with watercolor designs.

Watercolor painting has been around been around for centuries . Water acts as a carrier for either wet paint or a dry pan. While the pigments are diluted with water, the medium used is equally important to achieve a flowing effect. Painting directly on walls won’t get the same result but mixing water and latex paint with various techniques still produces a gorgeous treatment.

These walls are visually stimulating and very graphic. Some use bold designs while others use soft, blended techniques. Florals, abstracts, and ombre are all popular patterns. Wallpapers give a very realistic appearance of watercolor paintings. Some of them are even removable wall decals so you can easily remove it when the trend passes.
